Efesos / Ephesus

Location - south of Izmir - West Turkey. Dating back to late hittites 1200 BC. Lydian, Greek and Roman city. After destruction rebuild as a roman city 27 BC. Nearby remains of the Temple of Artemis. Once one of the seven wonders - now only a coloum remains. Efesos is one of the finest roman cities in Turkey.
