Aya Sofia / Hagia Sophia in Istanbul

First Church, then Mosque now Museum

Location: Istanbul. Finished in 537 under the rule of Emperor Justinian. Biggest church in christianity untill 1453 when it was converted into a mosque under the Ottoman rule. In 1934 Atatürk made the building a museum.
